Toad in the Hole

Preparation Time:     15 minutes

Cooking Time:         30 minutes 

Ingredients

75g plain flour
1 large egg
75ml semi-skinned milk
55ml water
4 sausages

Method

  1. Sieve flour into a bowl and make a well in the centre

  2. Whisk in egg, and liquids until batter is smooth

  3. Cook sauasages in the oven in deep baking tray

  4. If they haven't released much fat then add some oil

  5. Heat the baking tray on direct heat until oil is very hot.

  6. Pour batter into the tray around sausages

  7. Cook immediately for 30 minutes
