Chocolate Ice Cream

Key notes

Serves:                   2 Litres

Preparation Time:     20 minutes

Cooking Time:         2 hours freezing

Ingredients

4oz Dark Chocolate (can be flavoured)

2oz soft brown sugar

1 large tin of evaporated milk (410g)

1 egg

1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder

Method

  1. Pour evaporated milk into large mixing bowl and beat with electric whisk (can do my hand but its harder) until thick- will double (or more) in quantity

  2. Melt the chocolate either in a microwave or in a bowl over boiling water in a saucepan.

  3. Whisk in sugar, egg and melted chocolate

  4. Put in box and freeze

  5. For better results take out freezer after a couple of hours and stir
