Argyle biscuits

Key notes

Serves:                   ~15 biscuits

Preparation Time:     10 minutes

Cooking Time:         10 minutes

Ingredients

100g margarine

100g granulated sugar

100g self raising flour

100g rolled oats

1 dstsp golden syrup

1 tspn ground ginger

½ tsp bicarb soda

Method

  1. Put marg, sugar, and syrup in saucepan

  2. Melt on gentle heat, stir well. Cool

  3. Stir in oats, flour, ginger and bicarb

  4. Grease 2 large baking trays

  5. Take rounded teaspoon of mixture, roll to a ball, place on baking tray and flatten

  6. Bake for 10 mins until golden brown. Allow to cool on tray for 5 mins

  7. Place on  cooling tray

  8. Cover with chocolate if desire
